Specialised Welding Products was founded in 1991 and is firmly established as one of the UK’s leading suppliers of Welding and Safety Equipment, whilst maintaining core beliefs of Quality, Service and Value, provided by a dedicated team with extensive product knowledge.
Our 25,100 sq ft National Distribution Centre is based in Haydock, just off the M6 at junction 23. From here you can collect your orders personally at the Trade Counter or order by telephone, online or via our app up to 6.00 pm for next day nationwide delivery of quality products allied to the welding industry – and beyond.

Edition Seven Product Catalogue launched in June with 484 pages and customer branded versions available.
2020
Due to continued growth, and in order to streamline our services, the Empress Park site and the Farringdon warehousing facilities are consolidated into one 25,100 sq ft site: Unit 1, Withins Point, Withins Road, Haydock Industrial Estate, Haydock WA11 9UD. The SWP head office continues to operate from Farringdon Industrial Centre.
2019
Edition Six Product Catalogue launched in January with 488 pages and customer branded versions available.
Weldspares asset purchase completed, including the FUTURIS brand.
2018
Translas Welding Fume Extraction units added to the Workplace Protection sector.
Italian designed and manufactured Genset range of portable and static Welder Generators launched.
Further success in the WRC as M-Sport win the Drivers’ Championship for the second successive year.
2017
Northern Depot doubles its size in a move to new premises in Haydock with easy access to the M6 motorway.
The EcoBoost-powered Ford Fiesta WRC had a fantastic 2017 with not only a podium finish in each round, but overall winners of both the Drivers’ and the Constructors’ Championships. From –20º to +40ºC M-Sport trust SWP power tools, welding and safety equipment. By professionals – for professionals!
2016
Further expansion in the third quarter as TBi Industries Mig, Tig and robotics torches range is introduced.
2015
Second quarter sees the introduction of a new range of CEA machines.
2014
Fifth edition of the Product Catalogue published with 426 pages featuring new.
Mig, Tig, Plasma Cutters and Inverters.
Abrasives also introduced into the Manual Metal Arc Section.
2013
ProLine heavy duty Mig machines range with separate wire feeders introduced.
2012
Super6 range of consumables added to the fourth edition of the SWP Product Catalogue.
SuperFlow regulators added to complement the Super6 branding colourways.
REDLINE Mig Turbo machines launched specifically for the automotive industry.
2011
SWP commence sponsorship of M-Sport supplying them with welding and battery tools for their Ford Fiesta RS WRC.
2010
Premium Safety Line established featuring Kimberly Clark, Uvex, Bollé, North, Honeywell, etc.
2009
Family buy-out sees Jeremy Packer in the Managing Director’s chair.
2008
Northern depot opened in Haydock. Orders can also be collected from a Trade Counter.
Air & Battery Tools division established.

Specialised Welding Products established by Tony Packer with three employees.
Based in Hampshire, the site has grown to 2800 sq m of warehouse, office and showroom facilities.
