3M™ Cubitron™ II Cut-Off Wheels deliver a fast, precise cut that lasts far longer than other wheels. They are ideal for cutting through metal, such as autobody, marine sheet metal, stainless steel, exhaust pipes, clamps, and rusted fasteners, with their 3M Precision Shaped Grain forming triangular points that quickly and cleanly slice through material. The self-sharpening points reduce heat build-up caused by friction and minimize heat-related stress cracks and discolouration. Lasting far longer than conventional ceramic wheels, Cubitron II cut-off wheels are perfect for producing high-quality results in production applications. Cut-off wheels must always be used with a cut-off wheel tool (sold separately) and a wheel guard for safety. Wheels must have a maximum operating speed equal to or greater than the power tool used, and the wheel guard must match the size of the cut-off wheel.
