4043 aluminium MIG wire is widely used for welding cast components and a variety of wrought aluminium alloys. The 5% silicon content improves weld pool flow characteristics, reduces cracking risk, and produces smooth weld bead appearance during welding.
Typical applications include general fabrication, construction, shipbuilding, automotive manufacturing, and aluminium repair and maintenance work. When anodised after welding, the weld zone may discolour due to the silicon content of the filler material.
